Palace of Catalan Music (Palatul Catalan music)
Built between 1905 and 1908 as a concert hall for the Coral Català Coral Society, Palau from Música Catalan was designed by the architect Lluís Domènech and Monter, in the modernist Catalan style.The building listed by UNESCO exemplifies a decorative decorative style decorated.The facade is an abundance of complicated mosaics, sculptural elements and refined hardware. In the interior decor is as colorful and fanciful as the outside, with a wonderful Auditorium concert that offers an inspiratory framework for musical shows.The concert hall, with a capacity of approximately 2,200 people, is the only auditorium in Europe during the day as a whole of natural light.The walls on both sides consist primarily of stained glass.The ceiling has a huge luminator of stained glass designed by Antoni Rigalt whose central piece is a couple inverted in golden shades surrounded by blue that suggests the sun and the sky.Elaborated sculptures frame the concert scene.Cafè Palau has a pleasant outdoor terrace on Plaça del Palau
