To Rambla: The Social Center of Barcelona
The heart of the social life of Barcelona is located on Rambla, a wide boulevard shaded by trees that divides the old city into two parts.At Rambla it extends from Plaça de Catalunya, where is the beautiful Romanesque monastery from the 12th century, Santa Anna, to the port.This street has expansive pedestrian sidewalks, lined with shops, restaurants and cafes outdoors, making it one of the most popular hangouts in the city.and the lively atmosphere.On some days, spectators could be treated with live music, a mimic show or other improvised street shows. In its northeast part, La Rambla is adjacent to Gòtic barri, and halfway is Plaça Reial, a beautiful market with edges, closed by historical houses.These elegant buildings have arches full of shops, cafes and restaurants.In the center is the fountain of the three graces with a chandelier designed by Antoni Gaudí.The owner, Eusebi Güell, was a great patron of the arts, and the building was built with a large -dose room for poetry readings and private concerts.Open to the public for visits, the building is adorned with sumptuous decoration, valuable textile materials and handmade furniture created by Gaudí.
