Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation

Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación (Church of Incarnation) is the most important church in the old city of Marbella.Built in the sixteenth century by the Catholic monarchs, the church is on the site of the former Mosche in Marbella.It was an ordinary practice in the 16th century Andalusia to replace the mosques with new churches. It has a spacious basilic plane, with a central ship vault in barrels and a semicircular apse with Corinthian columns.A distinguishing feature of the facade, the main door is refined with Rococo-style ocher style, an improvement from the eighteenth century.The sanctuary has a Mayor soil organ, considered the best type of modern organ built in Spain.This is where the liturgy is celebrated throughout the week, with two daily jobs from Monday to Saturday and several jobs on Sunday.
