Aldabra Atoll

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Aldabra is the largest coral atoll in the world.The central lagoon is filled and emptied twice a day through four channels, revealing mushroom -shaped peaks known as champions.Tiger sharks and rays often shelter the depths, and the atoll is at home with thousands of birds, including the White Rub (the only bird in the Indian Ocean).Also, in the vision there are smaller and larger frigate birds, red Boobii, Erete Dimorfe (found here in Madagascar), sacred Ibis Aldabra, larger flamingo and Kestrel Malgaș.In addition to the rich life of Avian, Aldabra is the habitat of 200,000 giant turtles - five times more than Galapagos.
