About

Bangkok is all you expect from the capital of Thailand: it is noisy, crowded, colorful, exciting, annoying and simply magical.Bangkok is a microcosm of what Thailand does so special.Old centuries and ancient temples are next to each other with 21st century malls, which have a Kitsch, but luxury ambience.Bangkok can be overwhelming, but it is also a fascinating city representing the tension in Southeast Asia between the developed and developing world.

Image 3 of 12

Located in the non-sailing area Khao Pra Byeaw, the Gibbon Rehabilitation Center is a wonderful place to find out more about these smart creatures and to support important work at the same time. The mission of the center is to save, rehabilitate and return the gibons in their natural environment. Many of these animals have been sacrificed from their mothers as babies and sold as pets or used in trading with tourism.Contact with visitors is limited by the right animals for release, so that they do not become accustomed to humans, however, you will have the chance to meet some of the animals that live full -time in the sanctuary and hear stories about their miraculous rescue. The center does not charge an entrance fee, but you have to pay to enter the park. You can support the important work of the center by performing a donation or by sponsoring a gibbon. After visiting the center, pass through the lush tropical forest to the Bang Pae waterfall for a refreshing bath.
