Less developed than the popular Patong beach, about 15 minutes away, Karon beach is a 3.5 km long area of golden sand and sapphire, which attracts many couples and families.When the weather is calm, it is a wonderful place for a swimming, but when the wind blows, big waves widen the wide shore, so be careful if you swim in these times.Restaurants and resorts are scattered opposite the beach along the crowded road, but a few four-star resorts offer direct access to the beach, including adults only Beyond Resort Karon and the luxury bungals of the nearby Marina PHUKET resort at the southern end of the beach.At the northern end, Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket has a view to the shore with its own water park.
