About

Standing as it happens in the Mediterranean, Sardinia was a stop point for all those who sailed on that sea, from Phoenicians to today’s cruise ships. It is not surprising that everyone has left their traces in the Cagliari capital, on the southern coast of Sardinia.

Image 1 of 8

From the bastions near the museums, you can look down a Roman amphitheater dating from the end of the 1st century, located in a natural curve on the rocky slope of the hill. This is the most important Roman remnant of the city and, when not closed for archaeological studies or restoration works, is used for concerts and shows.Sometimes it is possible to visit it with a guide when closed for restoration.
