Nowadays it doesn't look much - you may have to put your imagination hat - but this pile of ancient marble and rubble was once one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.Mausolus's mausoleum was built in Halicarnassus (the ancient name of the Bodrum) by the architect Pytheos as the last resting place of King Mausolus (376-353 BC).At the end, the impressive falnic structure measures 46 meters high and was decorated with magnificent hairstyles by the most famous Greek sculptors of the day.
