Right behind the Park Explanada de Espana and near Plaza Puerta del Mar, the City Hall of Alicante makes a striking impression.This great baroque building has a beautiful Churrigurescă facade and two imposing towers, which amounts to 35 meters.On the scale leading to the building is an instrument used in Spain as a reference point to measure the height above the sea level.The building is open to the public, and visitors should be sure they will see Salón Azul (blue room), which is particularly dazzling.The building also presents some interesting works of art.
