Chapel of San Juan de Dios

Image 1 of 13

Finding the road through the narrow and twisted streets of the old city to Capilla de San Juan de Dios on Calle Caridad is half the fun of a visit here. This Mudéjar chapel (in Christian Moor's style) was part of a hospital built by the Spanish monarchs in the sixteenth century. This is a small and somewhat modest church, but the iconography inside is impressive and exciting.
