The most severe granite Seychelles, Aride Island Nature Reserve is the reproductive ground of 18 species of marine birds, including frigate birds, red tailed tropicbirds and the largest colonies in the world with smaller nody and roses.Nature lovers will find the highest lizard density from anywhere on earth, as well as some endemic flower species.Wright's gardenia, or Bois Citron, is unique on this island.Most hotels on the island of Praslin can organize one day trips to Arid, but note that the island is often closed for visitors from May to September due to the hard surf.Helicopter visits can also be arranged.
